Yosemite National Park will be celebrating its 125th birthday this fall! It is a beautiful park, famous for its valley of granite peaks and waterfalls. I have taken the mist trail twice and have seen Nevada Fall twice, once in the spring and once in the fall. In the spring, the Merced River is a spectacular rushing torrent of water gushing over the sharp edge, dropping 594 ft. In the fall, it is much gentler and smaller. The photo here was taken in autumn. When I was there in the spring, we hiked all the way to the top of Nevada and across it. This time, we only hiked up to Clark Point.
