Hotel zum Ritter, Heidelberg, Germany
Hotel zum Ritter or House of the Knights was built in 1592 and is the oldest building in old Heidelberg. It survived through many wars and several fires that demolished the rest of the town. One of my favorite authors, Victor Hugo, was enchanted by the hotel when he stayed there. In front is an emblem of St George battling the dragon.
