Prison Tower and dry moat at the castle, Heidelberg, Germany
After passing through a series of gates in the outer rampart walls, the ruined prison tower and now dry Stag Moat are visible. The prison tower was nicknamed “Seldom Empty.” On the far right is the Gate Tower which was the main point of entry into the castle courtyard.
