Barn from Wilmsdorf, Molfsee, Germany
We visited the Schleswig-Holstein Open Air Museum which has examples of old rural architecture from all over the province. Here is the first building, a barn built in 1791 by the Ehlers family. The decorative brick and wood work were common to the area around Lubeck. I was amazed by the thickness of the thatched roof.
